Device Policy

The device policy module will manage policy and restrictions for an device for Kiwire platform. To access the configuration module click on Policies > Device Policy from the navigation.

The field and its function description is listed below.

FieldFunction
NameThe name of the device policy.
ZoneThe zone device that connect to network.
TypeFollowing is the device types:Brand : The brand of the devices such as Apple, Samsung or Huawei.Type : The type of the devices such as phone, tablet or laptop.Model : The model of the devices such as iPhone or Galaxy S.Operating System : The operating system of the devices such as Android, iOS or Microsoft Windows.
ValueThe value for the device type that selected.
RestrictionThe profile restriction for the device will be assign to.
PriorityThe device priority.
StatusThe status of the device whether enabled or disabled.
ActionModules action:  To edit the device policy.  To delete the device policy.

Add Device Policy

To add a new device policy, click on the “Create” button and populate the required fields. Fill in the field to complete the process.

ValueSet the value for the device type that selected.
RestrictionSelect the profile restriction for the device will be assign to.
PrioritySet the device priority.
StatusEnable or disable the status of the device.

Edit/Delete Device Policy

Click the edit icon on the listing screen to edit the device policy. The edit screen be display which you can edit the setting of the device policy. Click on the delete icon to delete the device policy. A prompt will be display to ask for your confirmation to proceed to delete the device policy. Please exercise with cautions as this not a reversible action.
